Profil Adrian Khalif
Rapper muda asal Jakarta, Adrian Khalif, belakangan ini baru saja melepas single perdananya yang bertajuk "Made in Jakarta". Di lagu ini Adrian mengajak kolaborasi produser sekaligus DJ yang tengah bersinar namanya, Dipha Barus. "Made in Jakarta" dirilis di bawah naungan label rekaman E-Motion Entertainment dan sudah dapat didengar format digitalnya lewat layanan musik digital Spotify.
Ketertarikan dengan musik hip hop dan tekat bermusik Adrian mulai terbentuk ketika ia menghabiskan masa remajanya di New York, Amerika Serikat. Adrian mengaku salah satu tokoh musisi yang paling memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap kiprah bermusiknya adalah Kanye West.
"Made in Jakarta" sendiri bercerita tentang bagaimana rasanya menjalani kehidupan di ibu kota. "Pada dasarnya kisah di balik "Made in Jakarta" menceritakan tentang sebuah perayaan dari perjuangan," jelas Adrian seperti dikutip dari siaran persnya yang diterima Rolling Stone. "Saya ingin lagu ini menjadi sebuah anthem mereka yang berjuang dan sukses [di Jakarta] – anthem tentang [hasil] kerja keras saya dalam mewujudkan mimpi."
"Made in Jakarta" adalah nomor hip hop mid-tempo yang memadukan nuansa musik gospel di belakangnya. "Ini seperti mimpi terliar yang menjadi kenyataan, ia benar-benar jenius," ungkap Adrian tentang pengalamannya berkolaborasi dengan seorang Dipha Barus.
Ketertarikan dengan musik hip hop dan tekat bermusik Adrian mulai terbentuk ketika ia menghabiskan masa remajanya di New York, Amerika Serikat. Adrian mengaku salah satu tokoh musisi yang paling memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap kiprah bermusiknya adalah Kanye West.
